Welcome to Maria’s Craftroom! Today I’m showing you how to make this easy watercolor Card using the Above the Clouds stamp set and Hot Air Balloon punch by Stampin Up. I like to use what I have. Sometimes that means I’m using things that are no longer available or retired. Sometimes it’s best to stick to particular brands, and sometimes I look for alternatives.
Do you use only one brand? Or do you like to try new things and explore the options?
I am not a demonstrator for StampinUp, but I’m considering it. Should I become a demonstrator? I can’t make up my mind.
Leave me a comment and give me your thoughts. I’d appreciate it!
Instructions:
Cut your white 8 1/2 x 11in card stock in half long ways. Score at 5 1/2in and 2 3/4in. Fold on your score lines. Cut your water color paper to 4in x 5 1/4in. Cut another water color piece to 4in x 2 5/8in. Use the water pen to create the illusion of grass and sky on the watercolor paper. Stamp the image of the hot air ballon and basket. Then punch those out. Place the hot air ballon cut out on the upper half of the card using dimensional, and the basket on the lower part. Stamp an additional balloon on the lower part of the card. Color in with the Sparkle Pen to blend the blue and add some shimmer. Stamp the sentiments. This leaves you a nice space hidden space to write your sentiment.
