Hi this is Maria. Welcome to my craftroom! Today I’m showing how to make these easy Christmas Cards using paper, punches, dry embossing and wet embossing. I like to make easy cards for the holidays so that I can make LOTS of them fairly quickly. We have a lot of family!
Instructions:
First, you will need to cut your card bases. I cut one 8.5 x 11 paper in half and scored in half again to make two standard A2 card bases measuring 4 1/4in x 5 1/2in. Then I cut my solid paper to 4in x 5 1/4in.
The pretty accent paper was cut to 3 3/4in x 5in. Going smaller in 1/4 in increments will give me narrow borders all around. One card used patterned paper. The other used sparkle white paper and an embossing folder with snowflakes. Run that through your favorite die cut machine.
Next, I used a Starburst punch to get a small layering piece out of the solid color. Simply punch where the accent paper will cover anyway. No need to waste paper!
Then, use an embossing buddy to remove static from white card scrap. Use Versamark ink to stamp the sentiment and pour embossing powder over the wet ink. Set with a heat gun. Let it cool off a bit, then use a decorative punch to punch out the sentiment. I used the Story Label punch.
Begin the card assembly by layering the accent paper over the solid piece. Make sure you cover the hole we made with the starburst punch. Use a decorative ribbon to spice up the card and secure it to the back of the layered pieces. Glue the starburst solid to the decorative punch. Attach the sentiment and solid starburst to the card front using dimensiónals. Add a little bling to finish them off, and you are done! So fun and easy to make!
