Today we’re making an Easy Baby Card. We have a new baby in the family, so this was the perfect opportunity to make a baby card! I like to mix and match products because I like to use what I have. I’ve been buying craft supplies for years. There’s quite a lot of stuff in my craft room…

Instructions:
First we cut our card base. I like to use StampinUp Whisper White because it I do find the quality to be better than what I find at the craft stores. I may invest in their colored card stock, if I ever run out of the stuff I already have. lol Then we cut our layering pieces.
- Card Base: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 in
- Solid Layer: 4 x 5 1/4 in
- Accent Layer: 3 3/4 x 5 in
- Sentiment Layer: 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 in
I cut out all the layering pieces. It’s so hard to find a trimmer that works well for every application. I have several guillotine cutters and several paper trimmers. Today I used the Fiskars because it’s small and easy to move.
Next, I did all the stamping. The pad I use under the paper is simply fun foam from the kid section of Hobby Lobby. It just gives some cushion when using photopolymer stamps. You don’t need it with red rubber stamps. I do use StampinUp ink pads and blocks. I like the way they stamp nice and crisp. The blocks are sturdy, and feel good in the hand. You will see me make several mistakes in stamping. Never fear, I turned the paper over and stamped again. It turned out much better the second time.
Finally, I assembled the card using the permanent tape runner. You don’t need much as this stuff is very strong. You could also use liquid glue or double sided tape. That’s it! Card complete.
