Hi this is Maria… Welcome to Maria’s Craftroom! Today we’re making an easy Rectangle Flip It Card from The Stamps of Life.
I LOVE using The Stamps of Life products because so many things mix and match so easily. I have nesting dies that I purchased years ago and they fit the newly released Rectangle Flip It that I’m using today!
Today I’m using my large Gemini from Crafter’s Companion to do my tie cutting. The Rectangle Flip It dies do fit through the 6in opening of the Gemini Jr machine (or any 6in opening die cut machine. Since I have both the large and the Jr model, I tend to keep the large machine out and ready to use. Then, I decide if I need the large plates or the Jr plates as both will go through the large machine. I also have a Spellbinders Platinum, but that is only my backup machine.
I cut my Flip It card base from a red Recollections card stock, and the layering pieces from a paper pad by The Stamps of Life. Then I cut a scrap white to 2 1/2in by 3 3/4in. This will go in the front of the flip. I used another scrap white with one of the nesting dotted rectangles to go in the back side of the flip.
Next, I did my stamping. I tend to buy similar colors of paper and ink of various brands and mix and match. So today I’m using mostly StampinUp ink pads. I used the Jar2Stamp stamps for the front flip and used a water pen to color in the bees. The dotted rectangle for the back side of the flip is so pretty. There is a pretty circle anniversary stamp in the Happy2BeCircles stamp set that fit the space nicely. A heart from Jar2Stamp fit inside that anniversary circle. I LOVE that these products mix and match so well!! I added a bug on that back flip to finish the look. Super easy and there was room left to hand write a personal message to my hunny. I used the same bugs to make the matching envelope.
That’s it! Another super easy card. Super easy when you have the right tools!
