Hi this is Maria. Today we’re making a cute stretch bracelet from natural stone chips! I needed some quick last minute gifts and this project is so easy that I made several. A quick trip to the craft store is in order! Select the beads you want to use and pick up any supplies you don’t already have. I had these stones on hand since I was duplicating one that I made for myself a while ago.

Supplies:
- Natural Stone Chips (enough to go around your wrist)
- Stretch Magic .5mm diameter
- Beading Needle
- Bead Board
- Clip
- Wire Cutter or Scissors
- Chain Nose Pliers
- Measuring Tape
- E6000 glue
- Toothpick

Instructions:
First, you’ll want to measure your wrist, or the wrist of the person you are making for. Gather your supplies and decide on a pattern for the bracelet. Lay out the beads in the handy bead board to make sure you like the design. I used 6mm round Hematite and Black Tourmaline, and chips of Clear Quartz, Fluorite, Obsidian, Amethyst and Malachite.
Bring out the Stretch Magic cord, and measure out at least three times the length you measured at the wrist. Double the strand to effectively make a 1mm cord. Test this doubled cord around the bracelet template on the bead board to make sure you have enough cord to bead and tie off after. Give the stretch cord a good tug before you start.
Thread the needle, and put the clip on the loose ends so that the beads don’t fly off. Begin stringing the beads onto the needle. I like to work in small sections to ensure the chips lay nicely against each other. Once you’re happy with that section, then pass it on to the end of the string. Continue until all the beads are on the cord.
Slide the beads closer to the doubled end. Then remove the needle, and put the loose ends through the doubled end. Keep pushing the beads flush to that doubled end and tug on the loose ends until there are no gaps in the stones. Try it on to make sure it fits!
Make a surgeon’s knot by making two simple knots in a row. Pass the cords to the inside of the bracelet and repeat another surgeon’s knot. Pass the cords back to the top and repeat one last surgeon’s knot. Use the strong E6000 glue to secure the knots. Snip the excess cord, and slide the knot inside on of the beads. That’s it!
