Hi this is Maria. Today we’re using the Country Floral Lane suite to make an adorable gift bag. Do you ever need a small box or gift bag and just can’t find the right size? Make one! I was looking to give my grand daughter a goody bag with a few treats. She loves my hand made cards and projects, so I decided to make a bag to fit the treats I had set aside for her.
Measurements:
- Country Floral Lane DSP 8 x 11 in
- Country Floral Lane DSP 1 x 2 ½ in
- Country Gingham 4 x 3 in
- Basic White 3 ¾ x 2 ¾ in
- Basic White 1 ¼ x 2 ¼ in
- Basic White Scrap 3 x 3in (cut two)
- 18 inches of Ribbon
Instructions:
- Use the Simply Scored board to score the 8 x 11in Country Floral DSP. Score the long side at 1 ½, 5, 6 ½, 10 in.
- Turn the page and score at 1 ½ in. Cut along the folds along the short side remembering to miter the slits, and cut the last bit off (this is the closure side.
- Use Stampin’Seal to seal the bag together.
- Stamp little hearts from the Country Bouquet stamp set onto the larger Basic White paper using the Sweet Sorbet ink pad. Also, stamp little hearts on the 1 ¼ x 2 ¼ in Basic White paper, plus the sentiment.
- Use the Decorative Circle Punch on one scrap of Basic White. Grab a blending brush and Mint Macaron ink pad. Swirl some color onto the edges of the cutout.
- Use the Country Bouquet Punch on the other scrap of Basic White. Stamp the hearts and leaves using the same two ink pads. I prefer to stamp after punching, but you may want stamp first then punch. See what works for you.
- Use Stampin’ Seal to attach the large Basic White piece to the Country Gingham.
- Attach the layers onto the bag using Stampin’ Seal.
- Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to mount the Decorative Circle onto the layers close to the bottom.
- Add the 1 x 2 ½ in Country Floral Lane to the lower part of the circle, followed by the sentiment layer up and over to the left a bit.
- Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the hearts and leaves to the left side of the sentiment layers.
- Seal the bottom of the bag using Stampin’ Seal.
- Lightly tuck the sides of the bag in to seal it closed.
- Secure the bag using tho layers of ribbon.
