Places in the Heart Card

Hi this is Maria. Today we’re making a beautiful card using Places in the Heart stamp set, Country Bouquet stamp set, Country Floral Lane DSP, and Country Gingham DSP. 

This is an easy card and takes advantage of the full Country Floral Lane suite (160390). The image of mother and child from Places in the Heart stamp set (158964) is absolutely beautiful and stamps wonderfully. I intentionally left the image in grey and colored only the baby’s outfit. I hope you have as much fun making this card as I did.

Cut these:

• 159276 Basic White: 8 ½ x 5 ½ in, folded in half
• 159276 Basic White: 2 ½ x 3 ½ in
• 160388 Country Gingham DSP: 4 ½ x 5 ½ in
• 160388 Country Gingham DSP: 1 ¾ x 4 in
• 163075 Country Floral Lane DSP: 4 x 5 ¼ in
• 160386 Real Red & Burlap Ribbon: 7 in

Instructions:

1. Cut your paper to size
2. Stamp the mother and child image from Places in the Heart onto the 2 ½ x 3 ½ in basic white.
3. Use water color pencils and a water painter to shade in the baby’s clothes.
4. Stamp the sentiment from Places in the Heart and small flowers from Country Bouquet to the inside of the card using 
5. Use liquid glue to attach the two larger DSP layers.
6. Determine where you want the ribbon to go, then flip the DSP over and use Stampin’ Seal to secure the ribbons to the back of the DSP layers. 
7. Use liquid glue to attach the 1 ¾ x 4 in Gingham piece down next to the ribbon, roughly centered on the card.
8. Use liquid glue to attach the image layer onto the Gingham, offset to the right about ¼ in.
9. Add some sequins.
10. Stamp the small flowers to the envelope front.
11. That’s it! You’ve made a beautiful card!
