Dainty Flowers Anniversary Card

Hi this is Maria. Today we’re making a very simple yet beautiful card using the Dainty Flowers DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. This paper is so pretty, it does all the work for you. It makes a stunning card with minimal stamping. 

This Designer Series Paper was a free gift with $50 purchase. We’ll also be using the Celebrating You stamp set for the sentiments, Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, and the Double Oval Punch.

I went ahead and cut an entire sheet of 12 x 12in, making 6 panels ready to use. This way I’ll have paper already cut for easy cards.

Cut these:

• 160834 Dainty Flowers DSP: 4 x 5 ¼ in
• 131199 Crushed Curry: 8 ½ x 5 ½ in, folded in half
• 131199 Crushed Curry: scrap
• 159276 Basic White: scrap

Instructions:

1. Cut a whole sheet of 12 x 12 DSP at 8in and 4in. This will give you 3 large 4 x 12 pieces. Rotate each piece so that the pattern is at the bottom and cut at 5 ¼ in. This will be 4 x 5 ¼ in. There will be some scrap pieces left over.
2. Cut the Crushed Curry in half the long way, and score in half. This is your card base.
3. Use liquid glue to attach the 4 x 5 ¼ in DSP to the Card Base.
4. Use the Double Oval Punch for an oval from the scrap of Basic White.
5. Use the Double Oval Punch for a scalloped over from the scrap of Crushed Curry.
6. Stamp the sentiments to the inside of the card, and to the white oval.
7. Attach the ovals together with liquid glue.
8. Place them onto the card from using dimensionals.
9. Add Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins to the sentiment layer.
10. That’s it! You’ve made a beautiful card!
