Make the most of 6 x 6 – Celebrating You – Country Bouquet

Hi this is Maria. Today we’re making the most of a 6 x 6 in piece of Designer Series Paper. This started as a one sheet wonder, but I decided to add more paper! Crazy, I know. It’s easy to go a bit mad when using such beautiful paper.

We’re using one 6 x 6 in sheet of Country Gingham, a piece of Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper, and a paper punch (LOVE this punch!). I love finding ways to use all of my pieces when I cut. This card is a good example of using most of the paper I cut today.

Measurements:

• Basic White: 8 ½ x 5 ½ in, folded in half
• Basic White: 1 ¼ x 1 ¾ in
• Basic White: 3 x 2 in
• Country Floral Lane: 3 ¾ x 5 in
• Country Gingham: 4 x 5 ¼ in
• Country Gingham: 1 ½ x 3 ¾ in
• Country Gingham: 2 x 2 ¼ in
• Country Gingham: 4 x ⅜ in (two pieces)

Instructions:

1. Cut your your Country Floral Lane DSP and Basic White pieces.
2. Cut the 6 x 6 in Country Gingham to 4 x 5 ¼ in. 
3. This will leave two remaining pieces: 2 x 6 in and 4 x ½ in.
4. Use the 2 x 6 piece to cut the 2 x 2 ¼ in  and 1 ½ x 3 ¾ in pieces. This will leave ½ x 3 ¾ in piece as scrap.
5. Cut the 4 x ½ in piece in half longways to get the two pieces of 4 x ⅜ in. 
6. Use the Country Bouquet Punch to punch a big heart out of the 2 x 2 ¼ in piece of Country Gingham.
7. Use the Country Bouquet Stamp Set to stamp a heart from in Sweet Sorbet and one in Mint Macaron Ink onto the 3 x 2 in Basic White.
8. Use the Country Bouquet Punch to punch out these hearts.
9. Use the Celebrating You Stamp Set, use Mint Macaron Ink to stamp the sentiments:
   1. “You’re on my mind and in my heart” onto the 1 ¼ x 1 ¾ in Basic White. 
   2. “You are every bit of wonderful” on the inside, centered.
10. Use Sweet Sorbet Ink to stamp small hearts on either side of the sentiment on the inside of the card.
11. Dip the edges of the sentiment layer in Sweet Sorbet Ink for a touch of color.
12. Use liquid glue to adhere the Country Gingham 4 x 5 ¼ in to the card base.
13. Use liquid glue to adhere the Country Floral Lane DSP as the next layer.
14. Use liquid glue to adhere the 1 ½ x 3 ¾ in Country Gingham just below center as the next layer.
15. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment layer to that last Gingham on the right side, leaving a border edge.
16. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the three hearts on the left side of the card front, overlapping on the way up.
17. Use the Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins on the hearts and on the sentiment layer for additional bling.
18. That’s it! You’ve made a beautiful card.
