On the Ocean – Masculine Card

Hi this is Maria. Today we’re making a beautiful card using the On the Ocean cling stamp set. This is a great set to make a masculine card, or a child’s birthday card. So fun!

I’m really enjoying working on the fly without so much planning. If you had asked me a month ago, I would have said that I need everything preplanned and organized. Not so! I’m finding this  more laid back approach so refreshing and fun to do.

Craft with me!

Easy step by step instructions on YouTube so that you can watch, pause as needed, and craft along.

Measurements:

  • Night of Navy: 8 ½ x 5 ½ in, folded in half (card base)
  • Basic White: 4 x 5 ¼ in (cut 2)
  • Scrap of Basic White

Shop Here, or click the Shop Tab at the top of the page.

Instructions:

  1. Cut your paper to size.
  2. Use Night of Navy Ink to stamp the water across the bottom of one Basic White 4 x 5 ¼ piece to create an ocean effect.
  3. Use Smoky Slate Ink to stamp the cloud across the top of the same Basic White piece.
  4. Use Soft Suede Ink to stamp the ship on a scrap of Basic White, then fussy cut it out.
  5. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the ship to the card front.
  6. Use liquid glue to adhere the Basic White piece to the front of the front of the card.
  7. Use Night of Navy Ink to stamp “We can weather this together” in the center of the other Basic White 4 x 5 ¼ piece, and a single water stamp across the bottom.
  8. Use liquid glue to adhere this Basic White piece to the inside of the card.
  9. That’s it! You’ve made a beautiful card.
