Self Care Card – In the Moment

Hi this is Maria. Today we’re illustrating the importance of self care. We sometimes get so wrapped up in life or grief, that we forget to take care of ourselves. I’m making this card to remind us to enjoy the little moments of each day. I’m using “In the Moment” and “Something Fancy” Stamp Sets as well as “Fresh as a Daisy” Designer Series Paper.

Measurements:

• Card Base: Garden Green 4 ¼  x 5 ½ in
• Fresh as a Daisy DSP: 4 x 5 ¼ in
• Basic White: 2 ¾ x 4 in
• Basic White: 4 x 5 ¼ in
• Glittered Organdy Ribbon: 12 in

Instructions:

1. Cut your paper to size.
2. Use Memento Black Ink to stamp the image onto the 2 ¾ x 4 in Basic White.
3. Use Garden Green Ink to stamp the sentiments on the 4 x 5 ¼ in Basic White and on the lower part of the 2 ¾ x 4 in layer. Leave room for the ribbon at the bottom of the smaller piece.
4. Use WaterColor Pencils and a Blender Pen to shade in the image.
5. Adhere the 4 x 5 ¼ in Basic White insert to the inside of the card base using liquid glue.
6. Adhere the 2 ¾ x 4 in Basic White to the 4 x 5 ¼ in DSP.
7. Make an attached bow.
8. Use Mini Glue Dots to attach the bow to the front and to the back of the layers.
9. Adhere the layered paper to the card front using liquid glue.
10. Add Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins to the front for some bling.
11. That’s it! You’ve made a beautiful card!
