Joy of Christmas Birthday Masculine Card

Hi this is Maria. Today we’re making a masculine birthday card using the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper. Sometimes it’s hard to make cards for men. This paper has so many rich dark colors. I thought it was perfect for this card.

Measurements:

• Card Base: Basic White 4 ¼  x 5 ½ in
• Joy of Christmas DSP: 4 x 5 ¼ in
• Joy of Christmas DSP: 3 ½ x 4 ¾ in
• Joy of Christmas DSP: 2 ¼ x 3 ½ in
• Basic White: 2 x 3 ¼ in
• Satin Edged Ribbon: 9 in

Instructions:

1. Cut your paper to size.
2. Use Early Espresso Ink to stamp a birthday sentiment from the Seasonal Branches Stamp Set.
3. Use Early Espresso Ink to stamp a branch onto the 2 x 3 ¼ in Basic White. Use a silicone mat to allow you to stamp off of the paper.
4. Use Early Espresso to stamp a bird onto the mat first, then stamping onto the branch. This will lighten the image.
5. Use a Water Painter to mix the ink from the silicone mat to color in the bird lightly.
6. Use Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow Ink to add individual leaves to the branch for a fall/winter look.
7. Use liquid glue to layer the two larger DSP papers, and the two smaller papers.
8. Use liquid glue to adhere the two larger layers onto the card front.
9. Make an attached bow, and attach it to the smaller layers on the back using Stampin’ Seal.
10. Attach the smaller layers to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
11. That’s it! You’ve made a beautiful card!
