Baby Card – Last Chance List

Hi this is Maria. Today we’re making a Baby Birthday Card! I love making things for babies. This was super easy and so fun to make. We’re using lots of retiring items so you have a chance to see them in use before the retiring catalog goes away in May! I’ll show at the end of the video how to get and use the Last Chance Items List. Make sure to email me to get your copy of the lists. Don’t forget to subscribe to this blog so you are notified when I post here. The Newsletter is an email that will notify you when important information comes out such as the Last Chance Items List.

Measurements:

  • Basic White:  8 ½ x 5 ½ (scored and folded in half at 4 ¼ in)
  • Bright & Beautiful DSP: 4 ¼ x 5 ½  in (solid color)
  • Bright & Beautiful DSP: 2 x 5 in (accent color)
  • Bright & Beautiful DSP: Scrap (solid color)
  • Basic White: 3 ¼ x 5 in
  • Basic White: Scrap
  • Ribbon: about 8 in

Instructions:

  1. Cut your paper to size.
  2. Use Stampn’ Seal to adhere the 4 ¼ x 5 ½ in solid DSP on to the card front.
  3. Use the Decorative Circle Punch to punch the shape out of your scrap of Basic White.
  4. Use the 2 ⅜ in Circle Punch to punch a circle out of your scrap of Bright & Beautiful DSP.
  5. Use Blueberry Bushel Ink to stamp “Little Baby Big Love” from the Little Dreamers Stamp Set onto the cut out circle of Basic White. Use Lost Lagoon Ink to stamp stars onto it as well.
  6. Position the 2 x 5 in DSP in piece onto the right side of the 3 ¼ x 5 in Basic White just use as a reference. Make sure you have enough room to stamp the large lion stamp on the left side, while leaving a small strip of white showing on the right.
  7. Remove the 2 x 5 in DSP. Use Blueberry Bushel Ink to stamp the large lion stamp from the little Dreamers Stamp Set onto that left side.
  8. Use Blueberry Bushel Ink and a Water Painter Pen to shade in the bear. I like to use a block as a pallet. Dip a small block into the ink and add a a few drops of water using your Water Painter Pen. Paint lightly to not soak the paper.
  9. Use Lost Lagoon Ink and a Water Painter Pen to shade in the star balloon.
  10. Use Lost Lagoon Ink to stamp more stars above and below the bear.
  11. Cut about 4 inches of Gold Satin Edged Ribbon, miter the edges, and adhere it where the 2 x 5 in strip meets the white card (roughly the center of the card).
  12. Use Blueberry Bushel and Lost Lagoon Ink to stamp “Happy Birthday” and “Sending You A” sentiments from the Circle Sayings Stamp Set onto the inside of the card.
  13. Use Lost Lagoon to add stars onto the inside of the card.
  14. Use Stampn’ Seal to adhere the 2 x 5 in DSP on the right side leaving a small strip of white showing on the right.
  15. Use Stampn’ Seal to adhere the circle to the DSP decorative circle.
  16. Use Mini Dimensionals to adhere the circles to the 2 x 5 in DSP strip.
  17. Use Stampn’ Seal to adhere the layered pieces onto the card front.
  18. Make a bow with the rest of the ribbon, and attach it to the side of the circles using a glue dot.
  19. Add some bling with Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins onto the front.
  20. That’s it! You’ve made a beautiful card!
