Hi this is Maria… Welcome to Maria’s Craftroom! Today we’re making an easy reusable daily PNG layout in Procreate using Brushes and Clipping Mask. This will be usable in any note taking app.
Instructions:
I find making planner spreads easy. It’s deciding which layout I like best that is the hard part. So I am constantly making and remaking layouts. This daily is meant to be reusable. Just remember that anything made in Procreate will be static. So if you want to add in something later, leave it out of procreate.
Start in your favorite planner. I use the 2020 DigiBujo because it’s customizable. Export the page you want to work on. Select PNG as the export file type and open that in Procreate. I like to work in Noteshelf, but Goodnotes works very similarly.

Once in Procreate, I add in my elements using stamp brushes. So easy to work with! Just tap and go. Use Reference layer to add in color to only specific areas. I use Clipping Mask to add lines to specific areas of my page. Add in a pretty background with a seamless brush. Move that layer below the others you are working in. Lower opacity within the layer to dim it to your liking.
Turn off the planner layer and background layer in Procreate. Save as PNG. Add your NEW image into Noteshelf (or any other note taking app). That’s it! You’ve made a PNG reusable daily spread. Just write over it and you are set.
