Today we’re making a beautiful birthday card using Happiness Abounds stamp set and Hues of Happiness DSP. I love making simple easy cards.
Have you ever started a project and hoped you had ink that would match the paper you wanted to use? Stampin’Up! products coordinate together. The inks match their papers and their markers. It makes creating so much easier knowing I have the right products. The flowers in this Designer Series Paper are stunning. I had made a birthday card using Mossy Meadow earlier, and decided to use it as inspiration for today’s card. This gave me the opportunity to use one of my favorite punches.

Cutting Instructions:
- Card Base: Gorgeous Grape 8 ½ x 5 ½ in
- DSP layer: Hues of Happiness: 4 x 5 ¼ in
- Basic White: 4 x 5 ¼ in
- Mat layer: Gorgeous Grape 4 ¼ x 1 ¼ in
- Sentiment: Basic White 4 x 1 in
- Scrap of Gorgeous Grape
Card Instructions:
- Cut Gorgeous Grape to 8 ½ x 5 ½ in. Score it at 4 ¼ in and fold. This is your card base.
- Cut the other pieces to the measurements listed above.
- Stamp the Happy Birthday onto the Basic White 4 x 1 in layer.
- Stamp the sentiment and a flower onto the Basic White 4 x 5 ¼ in
- Use multipurpose glue to attach the DSP (designer series paper) onto the card base.
- Use multipurpose glue to attach the Happy Birthday layer to it’s mat layer of Gorgeous Grape 4 ¼ x 1 ¼ in.
- Use mini dimensionals to attach the birthday layers onto the card base.
- Use the Perennial Punch to make flowers using the Scrap of Gorgeous Grape.
- Use a water pen to define the petals.
- Use multipurpose glue to attach the petals together into a flower shape, and then glue them onto the happy birthday layer.
- That’s it!
